Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) help

Guidance for missing approval prompts, changed phones and Microsoft Authenticator problems.

Multi-Factor Authentication protects your business account by requiring a second verification step.

If an MFA prompt is not working:
• Make sure your phone has internet access and automatic date/time enabled.
• Open Microsoft Authenticator directly and check for a pending request.
• If you changed phones, your authentication method may need to be registered again.
• If SMS is configured, confirm the number on the account is still available.
• Never approve an MFA request you did not initiate.

If you are locked out, create a support request and state that MFA registration or verification is preventing access. Do not include any one-time codes in the ticket.
